| Morton and Hanthorpe Parish Council |
| Morton & Hanthorpe Parish Council was awarded Quality Council status in October 2004, and was one of the first two local councils in Lincolnshire to achieve this. |
| The Council holds meetings at on average 6 weekly intervals. Meetings are usually held in the Church Hall, and commence at 7.15 p.m. with an open forum, when any local elector may have their say, or raise any issue with the Council. |
| The dates and the Agenda for these meetings will be placed on the Council’s notice boards in Morton & Hanthorpe six days prior to the meetings. |

| The Council owns and manages the Cemetery in Haconby Lane, it owns the Playing Field to the rear of the School in Station Road, and it owns the Children’s Play Equipment on this site. |
| The play equipment is inspected weekly by one of the Councillors, a quarterly safety inspection is carried out by the clerk, and an annual safety inspection is carried out by R.O.S.P.A. |
| A yearly safety inspection is carried out on the headstones in the Cemetery to comply with the Council’s duty of care to all visitors to the Cemetery. |
