Morton and Hanthorpe Cemetery Fees

MORTON & HANTHORPE PARISH COUNCIL
CEMETERY TABLE OF FEES AND CHARGES AS FROM 1st January 2012

The fees and charges in Part 1 and Part 2 below will be doubled for Non-Parishioners
(Persons who have been forced to move into care homes will continue to be classed as Parishioners) 

PART 1.    INTERMENT 

(i)   Of a still-born child or a child whose age at the date of death did not exceed 1 month.            

£7.00

(ii)   Of a child whose age at the date of death exceeded 1 month but did not exceed 12 years.                 

£25.00 
(iii)  Of a person whose age at the date of death exceeded 12 years.£70.00
(iv)  Of ashes.£40.00

PART 2.      EXCLUSIVE RIGHT OF BURIAL 

(i)   For a period not exceeding 100 years in an earthen grave 9ft  by 4ft.         £115.00
(ii)   For a period not exceeding 100 years in the ashes only part of the cemetery£70.00
3.     MEMORIALS
        For the right to erect, or place on a grave or vault in respect of which exclusive right of burial has been granted.
(i)    A headstone and base or memorial stone not exceeding 3.5ft in height & 3ft in width
        incorporating a vase if desired including inscription.		£80.00
(ii)   A headstone or memorial stone or base in excess of the above measurements £130.00
(iii)   A memorial stone for the “ashes” plots. £70.00

(N.B. Kerbstones , plastic edging or similar are not allowed in that part of the cemetery opened after 1981, no  freestanding  vases  or any other items will be allowed on graves or grave spaces  in rows 7, 8, 9 or above, and the grass on these graves must be allowed to settle to the level of the surrounding grass.)
