Baptists in Morton

New Day Baptist ChurchThere has been a Baptist Church in Morton since 1846. the present Church moved to its present location in 1876. Our current Minister, Rev. David Hughes joined us in November 2003.

During 2004 we saw many changes and most obvious was the refurbishment of the main worship area which has received new windows, new carpet, new chairs and new paintwork as well as the seating arrangement being moved sideways which has given a much warmer friendlier feeling to the place.

We sense that this is a 'New Day' for us, a fresh beginning in our worship and service to God and the community.

We offer the full range of services including "Infant Dedication", "Adult Baptism", "Funerals", "Christian Marriage", listening opportunities and home visits. We will be increasing our range of activities to cater for all in the forthcoming future.

Pastors Message

Welcome to our website, we trust that you enjoy it and find what you are looking for.

Like many people, I spend quite a bit of time looking for things, which are never where I KNOW that I put them (or so I say!).  Even if the item is right under my nose, I can fail to see it.  When I ask my wife to join in the search and she finds it immediately, about three feet from where I am, well, I know that it wasn’t there a minute ago, because I looked!

Often, things that we are searching for are nearer, and easier to find than we ever imagined.  Peace, hope, joy, satisfaction and a host of other things can, at times, seem utterly unobtainable, yet in reality, they are simply a prayer away.

We, at New Day believe that many people are searching for the meaning of life, which can be found in a personal relationship with Jesus, and a search for many things can be found in a search for Jesus, who simply says ‘come to me – I will give you rest’ (Matthew Chapter 11 verse 28 – The Bible).

Yes the search for inner peace is found in Jesus who offers you this open invitation to come to him, who is found by prayer, asking Him to help – He really is easy to find and wants to be found today by you, in your situation.

We trust that you will allow us to help you in your search and find it all in Jesus.

If we can help you in any way, please contact us at davidandrosie@btinternet.com

Enjoy looking at our site – now that you have found it!
